"Waiting on Wednesday" is a meme hosted weekly on Breaking the Spine. This is where, we the avid reader and blogger, share with others what it is that we are most looking forward to/ can't live without.
Title: The Mad Scientist's Daughter
Release: February 2013
Other: Be sure to check out the giveaway I am hosting for this book! (The cover was only just revealed yesterday!)
Brief Summary: There’s never been anyone - or anything - quite like Finn.
He looks, and acts human, though he has no desire to be. He was programmed to assist his owners, and performs his duties to perfection. A billion-dollar construct, his primary task is to tutor Cat.
When the government grants rights to the ever-increasing robot population, however, Finn struggles to find his place in the world.
My Reasoning: I LOVED The Assassin's Curse by Ms. Clarke and vowed to put anything else she wrote on my TBR. The title of her next book caught my eye, and now this cover is just gorgeous. The book kind of sounds like iRobot, but with a love story. So excited!

I saw this one for the first time earlier today, it sounds really really good. Awesome choice!

ReplyDeleteOh- I just looked up "Assassin's Curse." I didn't know Strange Chemistry had started releasing ARC's yet. I'm really looking forward to this imprint. Angry Robot has already turned out to be a great publisher and I expect Strange Chemistry to be just as good.
ReplyDeleteOh wow The Assassin's Curse is on my priority TBR since I've got it for review, but this sounds amazing! Will add it to my TBR for sure!!
